LJCLT Terms of Reference
Please note that all applicants wishing to join LJCLT's membership (Board of Directors, Voting Members and Non-voting Members) must review our Terms of Reference and agree to those terms as outlined during the application process.
Apply to become an LJCLT Member
By applying for LJCLT membership, you understand that this is a Black-led, Black-focused and Black-serving community land trust that will serve as an anchor institution for Black businesses, residents and the cultural heritage of Little Jamaica. It is a fundamental principle of the LJCLT to address and prioritize the displacement issues faced by Black business owners and residents in the community.
Apply to join LJCLT's Board of Directors
The purpose of the LJCLT Board of Directors (BOD) is to develop land acquisition proposals, supervise, guide and provide strategic input on future acquired land, properties by the land trust. Successful applicants are required to provide strategic leadership, fiscal oversight, and accountability to the Little Jamaica community. By applying to join the BOD, you are agreeing to adhere to time commitments, activities and term lengths, as outlined in our Terms of Reference.
